Overview

So, the entire first three days (possibly four, depending on how many detours I make...) will be spent traveling this 1430 mile span up the California coast, across Oregon and into South Central Washington where I will be staying in Roslyn for two weeks...

For those Northern Exposure fans, Roslyn is better known as "Cicely, Alaska".

Here's the basic itinerary:
Day 1 - Costa Mesa to the Redwood State Park, with a quick stop at Monterey
Day 2 - Avenue of the Giants in Redwood State Park to Medford, OR, then onto the Cascade Lakes region, ending just south of Bend, OR.
Day 3 - Ben, OR to Yakima, WA (Washingtons wine region...) and then onto Roslyn. I'll be returning to Yakima next Saturday for their annual Wine & Food Festival so will likely wait to explore the wineries until then. Speaking of festivals, prepare to be afflicted with some serious food envy, I'll also be visiting The Bite of Oregon ...
